Methodology

The calculator uses branch-specific public guidance where available. It can report points, totals, and status for covered public scoring rows. Space Force HPA results are not available in this calculator because this review could not retrieve a later official change or the myFitness scoring charts.

myptscore.us treats the scoring data as a source-backed dataset. Each service is modeled separately because the services do not use one shared formula. The site also labels the boundary of each test: a scored event set may be only one part of a service's full assessment, and a public estimate is not an official score.

Current Source Review

• Army AFT scoring scales effective June 1, 2025 use point-row lookup. Army Directive 2026-07 added a separate, seven-event, pass/fail Combat Field Test for designated combat specialties; this calculator does not score the CFT.
• Navy Guide 5A Physical Readiness Test tables dated December 2025 cover the calculator's standard-altitude PRT event rows. The tool does not score body composition or the separate Combat Fitness Assessment used for combat-arms personnel.
• Air Force PFRA public guidance and 2026 scoring charts use row lookup. The updated PFRA program entered official testing July 1, 2026; record status, profiles, waivers, and exemptions remain outside this tool.
• Space Force: the public manual linked here and its accompanying service release are dated September 26, 2025 and describe an 80-point HPA with a 60-point readiness threshold. This review could not retrieve a later official change or the age/sex scoring charts housed in myFitness, so it cannot determine whether newer guidance supersedes the linked copy. The site therefore does not calculate Space Force scores; verify the current instruction and score in myFitness.
• Marine Corps public PFT/CFT scoring bounds and age groups. This site interpolates those bounds, so Marine points are estimates rather than a lookup of every official row. Combat-arms PFT estimates use the male age-normed standard and 210-point minimum that took effect January 1, 2026.
• Coast Guard: no member PFT score is calculated. The service-wide Physical Readiness Program became fully operational July 1, 2026, and the current program directs members to authenticated government resources for standards and administration.

How raw results become scores

For row-based sources, the calculator compares the user entry to the stored row thresholds for the selected branch, test, age group, sex, and event. Time events are scored in the faster-is-better direction. Repetition, shuttle, weight, and plank events are scored in the higher-is-better direction. Body-composition entries are converted only when the selected branch and test use them as a scored component.

When a branch publishes component maximums, the calculator keeps those maximums visible. Space Force HPA points, component minimums, and classification are not calculated here until current official public scoring guidance can be verified.

How exemptions and profiles are treated

Exemptions and profile events are handled as planning scenarios. The calculator can show how the assessed components would combine, but it cannot determine whether an exemption is authorized, whether a medical profile is valid, or how a service record system will store the result. Users should confirm those decisions through the official chain and current service instructions.

Quality controls

• Inputs are raw performance fields, not point fields, so users do not have to know the score before using the calculator.
• Event choices are dropdown-driven where practical to reduce invalid combinations.
• Branch guides explain the scoring structure instead of copying tables without context.
• Public-source limitations and tests that are outside the calculator's scope are disclosed next to the relevant branch choice and in each report.
• Smoke tests verify core public pages, crawler files, health endpoints, manifest delivery, and branch-guide availability before deployment.

Calculation Limits

Some service tables are age, sex, event, altitude, status, or waiver dependent. Official submission remains the applicable service system of record, especially for waivers, altitude compensation, medical exemptions, combat-arm standards, and body-composition policy decisions.

The site should be treated as a planning calculator. If a score affects a record test, promotion action, school packet, retention decision, profile, or disciplinary matter, verify the result against the official source and the local administrator.

Policy references were reviewed October 10, 2026 for the Army CFT, Navy CY2026 PFA/CFA, Air Force PFRA, Marine Corps combat-arms PFT, Coast Guard PRP, and the public Space Force HPA sources linked here. Stored scoring tables retain their documented source editions and have not received a line-by-line re-audit in this update. The Space Force score calculator is disabled because a current official change and its score charts could not be retrieved for verification.
