Navy PRT scoring guide
The Navy PRT calculator uses Guide 5A point rows for each supported event. The total PRT score is based on the average category-level performance across the tested modalities, so raw event points matter. The current calculator stores the official row breakpoints for age groups 17-19 through 65+ and for male and female standards.
Events covered
| Component | Supported input | Point direction |
|---|---|---|
| Upper body | Push-ups | More repetitions score higher. |
| Core | Forearm plank | Longer plank time scores higher. |
| Cardio | 1.5-mile run, 2-km row, 500-yard swim, 450-meter swim | Faster time scores higher. |
Why row lookup matters
The Navy tables use fixed category rows such as 100, 95, 90, 85, 80, 75, 70, 65, 60, 55, 50, and 45 points. The site no longer interpolates between broad categories. If a result meets a row threshold, the calculator awards that row's points; if it does not meet the lowest row threshold, it scores below the selected standard.
Combat arms option
The calculator includes a combat-arms PRT option with a higher total pass threshold. Use it only for planning unless your command has confirmed that the combat standard applies to your billet or requirement.
