Space Force HPA scoring guide
The Space Force Human Performance Assessment is not an Air Force PFRA with a body-composition score removed. SPFMAN36-2905 defines three scored HPA components: cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength, and muscular endurance. The calculator applies those weights directly so the total equals 100 points.
Component weights
| HPA component | Maximum points | Supported calculator events |
|---|---|---|
| Cardiorespiratory | 60 | 2-mile run, 20m HAMR, 2-km profile walk pass handling |
| Muscular strength | 20 | 1-minute push-ups, 2-minute hand-release push-ups |
| Muscular endurance | 20 | 1-minute sit-ups, cross-leg reverse crunch, forearm plank |
Profile 2-km walk handling
A passed 2-km walk on profile is treated as a cardio-exempt assessment in the calculator. It does not award 60 free cardiorespiratory points. Instead, the score is reweighted from the assessed components, matching the Space Force profile-scoring concept: assessed points divided by assessed possible points, then scaled to a 100-point score.
Classes
The calculator uses the published Space Force class bands for full HPA scoring: Fit to Fight at 90 or higher and Health Maintenance at 75 to 89.9. Profile-exempt results are reported as profile passing or not passing because the profile walk path is not the same as a full three-component Fit to Fight score.
